About Fosroc’s BIM Library

We have partnered with Australia’s leading BIM Content specialists, IGS BIM Solutions, to develop a high-quality BIM content library, it is available free via the BIMcontent.com platform and our Fosroc websites, streamlining and maximising access to Architects and Building Designers.

Recognising the growing demand from project designers for high-quality BIM content, Fosroc partnered with IGS to develop a high-quality Revit library and specifier engagement strategy. The Fosroc library aims to facilitate efficient and effective creation of project documentation, as well as generate high quality and accurate visualisation outputs used during client and stakeholder engagement processes.

In developing the structure of the Fosroc Revit library, consideration was given to the various types of Revit content assets used to document projects within the Revit environment. A notable feature of Fosroc’s library is the use of PBR materials, allowing building designers to produce high-quality visualisation outputs where Fosroc products are incorporated within their designs. The library incorporates a range of Revit assets use the project design phase such as System Families, Advanced / PBR Materials, 2D Drafting Views / Typical Details and Drawings.

The library was created to a consistent, best-practices project-ready standard to ensure ease of use, documentation output, visualisation quality and performance in a Revit project environment. It is available to download either as individual Revit families, as ‘Collections’ (by Product Range and Revit Version 2019/20/21/22), as a ‘Virtual Showroom’ (a Revit project file with all content laid out for easy browsing / QA) or as bulk ‘Download All’ option.

The Fosroc BIM library can be accessed via the Fosroc websites (fosroc.com.au/resources/bim/ and fosroc.co.nz/resources/bim/) and is also available via IGS group's BIM content hosting platform and project design resource, BIMcontent.com. Designers are able to experience the optimised search, preview and download workflows including the ability to preview the materials directly in the web browser, view Drafting Views / Typical Details and parameter data on the page prior to downloading, and download specific versions of content – catering to various user preferences.  Our full library of detailed drawings in pdf format are also available and have been scaled to size for easier use.
