The Fosroc ANZ high-performance waterproofing range has expanded with the introduction of Nitoproof 910. This single-component, trafficable polyurethane membrane is designed to simplify application while delivering reliable protection in exposed environments.

Built for modern construction demands, Nitoproof 910 combines ease of use with robust performance. Contractors, applicators and site supervisors are achieving consistent results with this innovative two-coat system.

Designed for real-world site conditions

Nitoproof 910 is engineered for projects where exposure, movement and usability all matter. It is particularly well suited to exposed applications requiring UV resistance, foot-trafficable areas such as balconies and podium decks and large or complex horizontal surfaces needing a seamless membrane. It also performs in structures subject to movement, including slabs experiencing thermal expansion or deflection.

By forming a continuous, flexible barrier, the system protects critical areas while accommodating structural movement and environmental exposure

Built for simplicity on site

One of the biggest advantages of Nitoproof 910 is its ease of use. It is ready to use straight from the pack, with no mixing and no guesswork.

This helps reduce labour risk, speed up application and minimise material waste. The membrane can be applied using a roller, brush or squeegee, removing the need for specialised equipment or highly trained applicators.

“Contractors are telling us they want systems that remove complexity from site. Nitoproof 910 is all about making waterproofing more predictable and easier to deliver first time,” says Colin Picton, Fosroc ANZ Product Segment Specialist, Waterproofing & Sealants.

Faster progress, fewer delays

Nitoproof 910 supports tighter construction timelines with fast moisture-curing chemistry. It becomes tack-free in approximately 16 hours and achieves full cure in around 24 hours at 1.5 mm WFT.

This allows earlier protection of the membrane and helps keep follow-on trades moving without unnecessary downtime.

“Speed matters on every project. By reducing cure times and simplifying application, we’re helping teams keep momentum without compromising on performance,” Colin explains.

High performance where it counts

Designed as a high-build system for horizontal surfaces, Nitoproof 910 helps installers achieve the required film thickness more reliably, reducing the risk of thin spots and rework.

Key features include UV resistance for exposed applications, suitability for light foot traffic, and 300% elongation for excellent crack-bridging and movement accommodation. It performs across a wide service temperature range from -20°C to +80°C and delivers strong adhesion to concrete and common substrates.

“We’ve engineered Nitoproof 910 to handle real structural movement and environmental exposure. That flexibility, combined with strong adhesion, gives applicators confidence the system will perform long term,” says Colin.

A more efficient system

Nitoproof 910 is applied as a two-coat system, offering clear efficiency benefits. It reduces application time, lowers labour costs and minimises site disruptions.

Contractors regularly highlight the advantages:
“Two coats instead of three saves us time on site.”
“Fewer coats means real cost savings.”
“It’s a simpler system to manage.”

Combined with its single-component format, it’s a system that’s easier to manage from start to finish.

Compliance you can rely on

Nitoproof 910 has been independently tested to AS/NZS 4654.1 and AS/NZS 4858, supporting smoother approvals, inspections and project handovers.

Application tips for best performance

Prime correctly: Always use a suitable primer. On porous or pitted concrete, a heavier prime with Nitoproof 510 helps seal pinholes and stop air bubbles reflecting through the membrane. Nitoprime 320PU is best for smoother concrete with fast drying.

Achieve the right film thickness: A minimum 1.5 mm WFT is critical - use a gauge and don’t overextend coverage. Two controlled coats are recommended to avoid thin spots, especially on larger decks and balconies.

Recoat in time: Apply the second coat within 48 hours to ensure proper intercoat adhesion.

Detail joints and cracks first: Cracks, movement joints and internal corners need detailing before the general membrane goes down. Bondbreaker tape over cracks and correctly sealed joints will help the membrane move freely and prevent reflective cracking once cured.

Protect where necessary: While trafficable, the membrane should be protected from moving furniture and follow-on trades with a screed or protection board.

A practical choice for modern waterproofing

Nitoproof 910 is more than just a membrane - it’s a system designed to make waterproofing faster, simpler and more reliable on site.

Feedback from contractors reinforces its on-site benefits:
“It’s easy to apply and feels good under the roller.”
